Optracy

What's new

What's new.

Every change to Optracy that you can use, with the day it went live. Newest first.

  1. Accounts, the API, and the site's own pages

    • Accounts. Sign up with an email and a password, log in, and manage your email and password on your account page. No confirmation email to wait for.
    • The processing API. Send an image from your own software and get one file back: SVG, PDF, EPS or a print PNG. It runs on prepaid credits, one credit per image that succeeds; a job that fails or that you cancel costs nothing, and credits never expire. Create API keys on your account page.
    • API documentation, with every request, option, limit and error code, and complete examples in Python and Node.js.
    • Pricing and Privacy pages that state the limits, how long images are kept and who can see them.
    • English and Vietnamese. The site reads in English at optracy.com and in Vietnamese at optracy.com/vi/.
    • A real before-and-after on the home page, made from one of the sample designs on automatic settings, with a 6× close-up of one edge.
    • Number-of-colors chips. Every chip now gives exactly the number of color groups it shows, from 1 up to every color the editor finds, in a list that scrolls.
    • Easier to read and use. Clearer text and warnings with stronger contrast, motion that follows your system setting, and plainer editor and download pages on a first visit.
  2. Optracy on optracy.com

    • Upload and crop. Drop, pick or paste a PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF or BMP up to 30 MB. A picture over 3 megapixels gets a crop step first, in your browser.
    • The color editor. Every color is a group you can merge, split, recolor or hide. Pick the number of colors with one click, compare with your original side by side, and undo any step.
    • Remove background. One button hides the background color, and the print PNG is transparent there.
    • Print files. Download SVG, PDF, EPS or a 300 dpi print PNG, with print sizes of 4500 × 5400, 4000 × 4000 and 3000 × 3600 px in one click. PDF and EPS come out at the real size you set.
    • Checked downloads. Every file is checked before it reaches you.
    • Several images at once, with a ZIP of the results.
